“You know how when you’re listening to music playing from another room? And you’re singing along because it’s a tune that you really love? When a door closes or a train passes so you can’t hear the music anymore, but you sing along anyway… then, no matter how much time passes, when you hear the music again you’re still in the exact same time with it. That’s what love’s like.”—(via heysilly)
Stop trying to make everyone else so happy. To be honest, when you live your life trying to please others, you're never going to live your own life filled with things that make YOU happy and joyful and ecstatic. You're going to live your life trying to impress others and changing everything about yourself to satisfy them. And what do you get? A fleeting second of happiness when they rarely notice that you've changed for them? Bullshit. You can do so much better than that. When you change, change because you want to improve yourself; because you're unhappy with certain habits, mentalities, or aspects of yourself. If others don't like it, they'll get over it. It's not their life to lead. It's yours.
